I have always been taught that you can do anything in life as long as you make the right connections, never stop learning, and have the confidence to give it a try.
and take action
I’ve always dreamt big. When my classmates spent their work experience at the local shop; I worked at the local TV studio. When my university friends got a part-time job at a bar; I worked with celebrities on Saturday night TV shows for the BBC. When my friends had families and felt they had to sacrifice their careers; I took matters into my own hands and started a business – giving me the flexibility and control to do both.
I don’t believe this makes me special or “lucky” I’ve just always set out to make things happen and there’s no reason you can’t do that too.
Always treat people as you want to be treated
You don’t have to be mean to be successful in business. In fact, it’s the opposite. Every connection you make is someone that you could work with in the future. Being generous with your time and knowledge is always worthwhile in the long run.
I absolutely love building communities and being part of the bigger picture. It’s how my wedding business consultancy journey began when I started networking events to bring wedding businesses together. Many of those businesses have stuck with me and are still part of my Wedding Business Membership
Life is not all about working yourself into the ground. I’m all about balance – working hard doing something that you love alongside making memories and spending time with the people you love.
When I’m not in my office or live on video you will find me at home in Bedfordshire with my husband and two young children – playing games, creating music, or dreaming of our next trip to Disneyworld. On the weekends I might be sipping cocktails with friends, dancing round the kitchen to a Spice Girls’ track, or heading to the theatre to watch another musical!
When you love what you do it no longer feels like work
I love that I get to spend every day working a job that I love and helping others do the same. There is no reason that your passion can’t become your full-time career. I would love to help you get there.
If we have never met before then get in touch, I would love to get to know you and your business – you never know where the connection could take us.
